A Benefit Dance for the Dr. Tommy Comeaux Memorial fund

The Vermilionville Performance Center’s doors opened at 7 pm and show time was at 8 pm on a rainy night with an amazing line-up of musicians that included Sonny Landreth performing with his band and special guests, including Al Berard Steve Conn, and the Radiators' Camile Baudoin with an opening set featuring the Pine Leaf Boys with special guest Lynn August.

The UL Traditional Music Ensemble performed between sets, led by Wilson Savoy of the Pine Leaf Boys.

A limited number of tickets will be sold for this event. Advnce tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Vermilionville and on the Vermilionville website.

The evening included live music, dancing on the large Vermilionville wooden floor, food and beverage available for purchase, new and old friends, and a live broadcast on KRVS 88.7 FM and simulcast worldwide via krvs.org. Raffle tickets with fun and health and wellness inspired prizes and Medicine Show t-shirts and posters were sold to further support the worthy cause.

Your contribution makes it possible to hire regional musicians who teach classes and workshops in traditional music on the UL campus, develop on-campus residencies by musicians, offer student scholarships, purchase instruments for student use and more.
